evolve at typo station

Evolve at Typo Station (Evolve) is another one of my lovely pro bono clients. (I like to think of them as my ‘boy charity’ - Fitted for Work is my ‘girl charity’!)

While the festive season is still months away, Evolve’s fundraising has already begun. This wonderful little not-for-profit is selling a range of greeting cards to raise money for its valuable programs - please support them if you can.

Typo Station is a place where young men can go to develop their skills and self-esteem. Through a range of programs, Evolve seeks to keep kids in school, employment or alternative learning pathways - and prevent outcomes such as homelessness, juvenile detention and community disengagement.

Here’s an excerpt from Evolve’s Spring 2009 newsletter The Bush Telegraph - written by ‘Tim’, a participant in the Young Men’s Program. It explains more than I ever could. We hope to tell a few more stories like this in the Annual Report, which is my next job. Look out for it in October on the Evolve website.
